Terms and conditions of registration
Acceptance
Conference places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. The Conference Committee reserves the right to close registration early if all places are allocated.
Rates
The ‘Early bird’ offer is available for payments made on or before 1 June 2012. Thereafter, the full rate applies.
If you wish to claim the PhD rate, you must provide an official document from your supervisor on institutional headed paper, giving your name, the start date of your PhD studies, and a statement that you are currently a registered PhD student in good standing.
The rates provide a full residential attendance package which includes:
- for 10th July: bed and breakfast in a double bedroom for single occupancy in the DeVere Grand Harbour hotel,
- the drinks reception and the gala dinner,
- lunches and teas/refreshments on both of the conference days, and
- free car parking at the De Vere Grand Harbour hotel (subject to availability).
Additional accommodation
Delegates who wish to arrive the day before the conference, or stay on afterwards, may be able to secure a discounted double room and breakfast single occupancy rate on a first-come, first-served basis. We have a limited number of rooms pre-booked for you. Contact the De Vere Grand Harbour hotel directly on +44(0)23 8063 3033, select option 2 for Conferences, Events, Parties and Weddings and quote ‘CAA Conference’ for your special rate.
If you wish to bring a guest to share your room, there will be an extra charge of £10 per night, per person to provide them with breakfast. Please contact us if you would like your guest to attend the Gala Dinner.

Payment
Please note that, until your payment has been received and processed, your registration is provisional, and the conference rate that applies will be the rate applicable as at the date of your payment.
Substitution of delegate
Substitutions may be made at any time at no charge, provided you informed us prior to the start of the conference and provided the substitution is ‘like for like’.
Cancellation
Provisional registrations may be cancelled at any time.
Confirmed registrations, that is, registrations whose payment has been processed, will incur a cancellation fee up to 15 days prior to the conference, after which, regrettably, no refunds will be provided.
A cancellation fee of £200 will apply. The hotel will attempt to re-sell your room, and if successful, the cancellation fee will be reduced to £100.
Refunds will be processed after the event.
Liability and insurance
The Conference Committee are not liable for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to conference delegates (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the conference. All delegates must provide their own insurance.
